Conor McGregor’s film ‘Notorious’ will launch tomorrow in Dublin, Ireland and a new interview with the Irishman has been released today.

Speaking to Entertainmentie, McGregor talks about his next fight and it appears that unifying the UFC lightweight title is what he wants to do next. That of course means a showdown with the current interim UFC lightweight champion, Tony Ferguson.

“Man I got everyone clawing, I got everyone clawing trying to get at me in multiple sports, in multiple organizations, multiple everything,” McGregor said.

“It’s been like that for a long, long time I feel so it’s just another day for me. I know there are many contenders in the UFC for me. There are many boxing contenders as well, but what interest me is a UFC bout, certainly a defence of my lightweight title.

“There is a fighter with the interim UFC lightweight belt, I feel that will be next. We will see how negotiations go.”

“The Diaz trilogy is also there and I can defend the belt against Nate. Maybe we can persuade one of these boxing opponents to step into the Octagon or there’s also boxing bouts as well.

“There are a lot of options, but I feel to legitimize the belt, there’s an interim champion, I’m the unified champion, that will be next.

“We’re currently in contract negotiations and we will see how that goes.”
