Welshman Brett Johns will be fulfilling a dream on December 1 when he fight in Las Vegas, Nevada against Joe Soto at The Ultimate Fighter Season 26 Finale.

Johns (14-0) has fought in the States twice before in Titan FC when he fought in Alabama and Kansas City, Missouri back in 2015. He then went on to make his UFC debut in November 2016 when he fought Kwan Ho Kwak at UFC Fight Night Belfast where he won via a unanimous decision. In his last fight, Johns defeated late replacement Albert Morales at UFC Fight Night Glasgow in July, again via a unanimous decision.

The Welshman then spent the summer travelling and visited Las Vegas. Exactly one week ago Johns posted picture on his Instagram in front of the T-Mobile Arena with the caption:

Johns hasn’t quite got his dream of fighting in the T-Mobile, but he’s going to get the opportunity to fight next door at the Park Theatre in the Monte Carlo Casino.

Soto (18-5) is a former title contender having challenged T.J. Dillashaw for the belt back in 2014 when he stepped up to replace Henan Barao on just 24-hours notice. Soto’s UFC tenure begun by losing three on the bounce, but he’s bounced back and won three fights in row against Chris Beal, Marco Beltran and Rani Yahya.

The event will be headlined by a fight between two of the women currently battling it out on the TUF 26 series to compete in the inaugural UFC women’s flyweight title fight.
