Valérie Létourneau’s Bellator debut has been months in the making, but it’s finally going to take place at Bellator Newcastle on December 15 and she now has an opponent.

Gokhan Yildizli of Duello Sports Management has confirmed to this evening that his client Kate Jackson will take on the Canadian on home soil in December.

Létourneau was expected to debut back at Bellator 181 when she was expected to take on Emily Ducote on July 14. However, four days before the bout, Létourneau pulled out with an injury and Ducote went on to defeat Jessica Middleton.

The Canadian signed for Bellator back in April following her desire to stop fighting at 115-pounds and move to flyweight. Prior to her decision to moving to Bellator, Létourneau had lost three fights in a row against Joanna Jedrzejczyk, Joanne Calderwood and Viviane Pereira.

After a summer on the sidelines, it appears Leatourneau has her date and opponent set with Jackson fighting on home soil for the second time this year.

Jackson (9-2-1) competed on season 23 of The Ultimate Fighter where she beat Irene Cabello and Ashley Yoder before losing to the eventual season winner, Tatiana Suarez. The Brit has already competed for Bellator once back at Bellator 182 in August when she defeated Colleen Schneider via KO/TKO due to an injury at the end of the first round.

Former UFC bantamweight Michael McDonald will also make his Bellator debut on December 15.
