UFC 217 is fast approaching and Randy Brown vs Mickey Gall is quickly heating up.
Gall appeared last week on the UFC Unfiltered podcast and had a few choice words to say about his upcoming opponent.
This past Tuesday, it was Brown’s turn to feature and he similarly didn’t hold back when it came assessing Gall’s fights so far in the UFC.
“Me, I’m the only guy from the ‘Looking For A Fight’ show that has fought real competition,” Brown said. “That’s my opinion and I feel like who has Mickey fought? Who has Sagw fought?
“The guy that beat Sage [Bryan Barberena], I tried to get that fight, but I didn’t get it.
“I want to fight these top guys.”
Host Matt Serra went on to lament the importance of having a name to call out in the microphone and Brown went on to reveal how he got the fight with Gall.
“That’s what I did, after the show I saw you and Dana,” Brown said. “I came up to you guys and I said ‘Randy Brown vs Mickey Gall.’
“You said that would be awesome.”
Serra proceeded to praise Brown’s ground game and Gall’s striking, but Brown wasn’t so impressed with the level of competition Gall has shown off his talents against so far in his UFC tenure.
“[He’s punched] A reporter, a 40-year-old man, 13-year-old pretty boys.”
Brown went on to add he would’ve dealt with ’40-year-old’ man CM Punk in a very different way. He claimed that Gall let him off lightly.
“He was on the show and he calls out ‘What’s his name’,” Brown said. “The wrestler, the actor… he calls out an actor. He then fights the actor and he put on a terrible show by the way.
“Had I fought that actor, I would’ve been toying with him and it would’ve been a great show. I would’ve kept it on the feet, but he was scared and he dived in and took him down because he didn’t want to get punched by a 40-year-old man.
“I would’ve slipped and ripped his ass, but he took him down and spared him.”
