It has been confirmed today that a third title fight has been added to UFC 217 on November 4 with the UFC women’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk defending her title against Rose Namajunas.
The fight was first reported several weeks ago by MMAToday and was officially announced by the UFC earlier today on social media.

Jedrzejczyk (14-0) is undefeated as professional and won the title back in March 2015 when she beat Carla Esparza at UFC 185. The Polish champion has gone on to defend her title successfully against Jessica Penne, Valerie Letourneau, Claudia Gadelha, Karolina Kowalkiewicz and Jessica Andrade. She will be fighting in Madison Square Garden for the second time have beaten her fellow Pole Kowalkiewicz at UFC 205 in November 2016.
Namajunas (6-3) has won four of her last five with wins over Paige VanZant, Angela Hill, Tecia Torres and Michelle Watterson. Her only loss since losing the UFC’s inaugural 115-pounds title fight to Esparza came against Kowalkiewicz back in June 2016 at UFC 199.
Jedrzejczyk x Namajunas joins Cody Garbrandt x T.J. Dillashaw for the UFC bantamweight title and Michael Bisping x Georges St-Pierre for the UFC welterweight title on the UFC 217 fight card.
