The UFC 219 card on December 30 continues to come together and the latest fight to be announced is a lightweight bout between Marc Diakiese vs Dan Hooker.

The promotion announced the bout earlier today for the fight card taking place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Diakiese (12-1) is coming off the first loss of his career having been defeated by Drakkar Klose at the season 25 TUF finale in July. Prior to that, Diakiese had been on a tear with a string of highlight reel knockout wins against the likes of Teemu Packalen, Lukas Sajewski and Kane Mousah in his last fight in BAMMA.

The Brit will now look to get back to winning ways, but if he’s to do that he must defeat Hooker (14-7). The Kiwi has been on an up and down run in the UFC so far with four wins and three losses. In his last fight, Hooker defeated British lightweight Ross Pearson with a second round knockout finish that bagged him a ‘Performance of the Night’ bonus.

Diakiese vs Hooker is the sixth fight to be officially added to UFC 219. Emil Meek vs Kamaru Usman is also rumoured to be in the works.
