The UFC have called on Donald Cerrone to help them out in a sticky situations countless times down the years and it looks as if he’s answered the call yet again.

The UFC have pursued a few options for the main event of the UFC Fight Night 118 fight card in Gdansk, Poland on October 21 and it appears they’ve finally got something to stick. Sources close to have revealed that a welterweight fight between Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone and Darren Till is in the works for the UFC’s second ever event on Polish soil.

H/T to @TalkMMA who had also been reporting on the possibility of Donald Cerrone main eventing UFC Gdansk in parallel to our reports.

Till (15-0-1) was in action this past weekend at UFC Fight Night 115 where he took on Bojan Velickovic. The Liverpudlian dominated the fight and dropped the Serb to the mat on multiple occasions with his wide array of Muay Thai based strikes. Till is 3-0-1 in the UFC with wins over Wendell de Oliveira, Jessin Ayari and the aforementioned Velickovic. His sole draw came against Nicolas Dalby at UFC Fight Night 76 in a back and forth tussle that was awarded a FOTN bonus afterwards.

Cerrone (32-9) is currently riding in a two fight losing streak having lost to Jorge Masvidal and Robbie Lawler in 2017. Prior to this latest run, Cerrone had gone 12-1 with wins over the likes of Matt Brown, Rick Story, John Makdessi, Patrick Cote, Eddie Alvarez and Benson Henderson amongst others. Cerrone will be competing in his seventh fight at welterweight and has gone 4-2 since making the move to 170-pounds in February 2016.
