Well who would’ve thought it! The Interim UFC lightweight title fight between Kevin Lee and Tony Ferguson is in jeopardy after Kevin Lee could only make 156-pounds at the first time of asking at the early weigh-ins.
Ferguson made 155-pounds at around 10 am local time in Las Vegas, but Lee only made it to the weigh-ins at he deadline of 11 am.
Lee then weighed in with the assistance of a towel and was given the bad news that he was 156-pounds and was 1-pound over championship weight.

NSAC official Bob Bennett late informed reporters that Lee had been cleared by a NSAC doctor to cut the pound in the next hour.
We are currently awaiting to see if Lee is able to cut the pound. He has until 12:15 pm local time in Las Vegas.
As it stands, only Tony Ferguson will be able to win the interim title on Saturday at UFC 216.
