**UPDATE*** 27/07/2017 – 10:46 a.m. P.T.
Combate Americas have informed MMAUNO that fighters who missed yesterday will be deducted money from their fight purses. The amounts will be settled after the fights
It’s been a turbulent 24-hours ahead of Combate Americas’ “Combate Clásico” event and it’s not been helped by both their main event fighters tomorrow missing weight earlier today.
Ricky Palacios and Chris Avila found themselves promoted to the main event after the original headliner between Tommy Aaron and Javier Fuentes was scrapped.

Unfortunately, both Palacios and Avila missed the mark on the scaled today with Palacios coming in 2.2-pounds over and Avila coming in 0.3-pounds over the 146-pounds weight limit. The fight will still take place, but there’s been no update as yet as to whether either fighter will be deducted a percentage of their fight purse.
If that wasn’t enough, one half of the co-main event, Kyra Batara, also slightly missed weight as she came in at 106.1-pounds for her atomweight showdown with Vanesa Rico. Again, we’ve received no update as to whether Batara will be fined a percentage of her fight purse and we will update our report in due course.
