ACB 65 may have only been put together at short notice, but the night didn’t disappointment with ten of the thirteen fights finishing inside the distance.

In the main event, Batraz Agnaev defeated Thiago Silva via TKO in the second round to become the new ACB light heavyweight champion. Agnaev and Silva both started aggressively and landed big shots without taking a step back.

Silva looked good at times, but he simply couldn’t keep Agnaev’s pace and midway through second round he got rocked with a big right hook and fell to his knees. From there, Agnaev piled in the ground and pound and referee Herb Dean waved the contest off.

Agnaev is the new ACB light heavyweight champion, but no doubt Luke Barnatt will have one eye on him after he’s fought one last at middleweight and settled his feud with Scott Askham on September 23.

Elsewhere on the card, Pat Healy and Brendan Loughnane put on a great co-main event as the two went toe-to-toe over 15 enthralling minutes. Both men had their moments in the fight as they both scored with takedowns and had success on the feet.

The decision could’ve gone either way, but it Healy who got his hand raised as he recorded only his second win his last five fights.

There were also impressive performances by Joshua Aveles, Andrew Fisher, Aaron Arby and Adam Robinson on a night where no fans in the arena or watching around the world could’ve possibly left disappointed.
